Carolina Jack Russell Terriers

🐾 Our Puppies🐾 

Pet Price for Puppies at Carolina Jack Russell Terriers are $1,200. 

A $200 deposit is required to reserve the puppy of your choice. Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred to a future litter of your choice if circumstances arise that prevent you from taking your puppy as planned. Deposits are included in $1200 total. 

Once your deposit is received, we will hold your selected puppy for you until they are approximately 7–8 weeks old, at which time arrangements for pickup or delivery will be made.

The full $1,200 purchase price must be paid at least 120 days prior to the scheduled pickup date. This means you would be reserving the first pick of the next planned litter. 

For local pickup, the remaining balance is due in Cash at the time of pickup. 

If delivery is arranged, the delivery fee must be paid IN FULL before travel begins.

 

🐾 Extended Stay

We are happy to keep your puppy longer when needed, depending on our schedule and the puppy's age.

Puppies remaining with us beyond 10 weeks of age will incur an additional boarding/care fee. We begin introducing potty training at a very young age, and keeping an older puppy requires additional time, cleaning, care, and supervision.

Growing Up, What to Expect

While we can give you a good idea of the type and characteristics your puppy may develop based on their parents and pedigree, we cannot guarantee an adult height, exact size, ear set, coat characteristics, or other individual physical traits.

We are happy to provide pictures and videos of the parents, along with your puppy's pedigree when available, so you can learn more about the bloodlines and the type of Jack Russell we are producing.

We are as focused on Temperament as much as we are Heath & Characteristics. Genetics mean everything when choosing a puppy and those traits are so important! It's why we always love when families can meet the parents ❤️

Every puppy is an individual, and part of the fun is watching them develop their own unique personality and appearance!

🐾 Dewclaws & Tails✂️

Dewclaws are removed at approximately 4–5 days of age, unless the buyer has placed a deposit and specifically requests that removal be declined before 4 days of age.

Tail docking must be requested by 5 days of age, before the applicable window closes. Docking at this age is performed without anesthesia. If docking is not completed by 5 days of age, anesthesia will be required and puppy(s) will retain their natural tail unless tail docking is requested by families, at the time of spay/neuter. (where legally permitted)

We offer visits beginning at approximately 3–4 weeks of age, by appointment.

This is such a fun stage because puppies are beginning to play, interact with people, and show the first hints of their individual personalities.

Depending on your schedule and ours, we welcome you to spend time with your puppy and begin building that special connection before it's time to bring them home.

We post pictures and videos so families can watch their puppies grow and change. 

Individual puppy pictures are typically taken:

  •  At birth
  • Around 3–4 weeks
  • Additional group updates throughout the time they're with us.

We are also happy to accommodate individual picture or video requests whenever possible, depending on our schedule and the needs of the puppies.

When you bring home a Carolina Jack Russell Terrier puppy, you're not just bringing home a puppy — you're becoming part of our Carolina JRT family! 

You'll be invited to our private Carolina JRT family group, where families who have welcomed one (or more!) of our puppies into their homes can connect, share pictures and videos, ask questions, and exchange ideas and experiences.

It's a fun, friendly, and welcoming group where our families interact regularly and share helpful tips, tricks, laughs, and real-life experiences about raising a Jack Russell Terrier.

Whether you have a question about puppyhood, training, feeding, behavior, or just want to show off what your little troublemaker is up to, you'll have a community of Carolina JRT families who understand!

We love watching our puppies grow—“greatly appreciate you sharing them with us.” We especially love watching their families become part of ours. 

❤️ A Little About Raising Our Puppies

Raising these little angels is incredibly rewarding—but it is also a LOT of work!

From the moment they arrive, our days are filled with feeding, cleaning, socializing, monitoring their development, introducing new experiences, taking pictures and videos, and beginning the process of potty training.

By the time your puppy comes home, they have already received countless hours of hands-on care and attention. 

We don't just raise puppies—we invest our time and hearts into giving them the best possible start.

At 5 weeks of age we begin introducing them to a doggy door, where, following mom's example, puppies learn to go outside into a small and secure fenced area to potty.

Healthy and Well-Adjusted Puppies

Our puppies are born in our home and at five to six weeks old  begin potty training using Doggy Door. They are always provided with a climate-controlled environment, and we make sure that moms are fed the very best home made meals.  

All our puppies are handled daily. If one pup is not growing as rapidly as he/she should, we will supplement that puppy with a special formula (not a canned product). We watch our females very closely and feed them accordingly to maintain proper weight. Extra vitamins and supplements are given as needed.

💉 Vaccinations

Our puppies receive the age-appropriate care recommended for their stage of development while they are with us. Because puppy vaccines must be given at specific intervals and vaccination requirements can vary between veterinary practices, we have chosen to allow each family to decide whether they would like their puppy to receive a vaccination while in our care or begin the vaccination schedule with their own veterinarian.

This allows your veterinarian to establish the puppy's medical record, determine which vaccines are appropriate, and schedule each subsequent vaccination according to their recommended protocol.

Please be aware that some veterinary practices may not accept or consider vaccines administered by a breeder as part of a puppy's official vaccination history. For this reason, we encourage you to speak with your veterinarian and discuss your puppy's vaccination schedule before pickup.

If your veterinarian confirms that they will accept a vaccine administered by the breeder and you would like your puppy to receive their first vaccination at six weeks of age, I will be happy to have the puppy vaccinated approximately one week before the scheduled pickup date.

This is provided that your veterinarian confirms they will recognize the vaccine as part of your puppy's vaccination history and that you have an appointment scheduled for the next vaccination within the appropriate interval after pickup.

Following the recommended intervals between puppy vaccinations is important. Giving vaccines too close together or too far apart may affect whether a dose is considered valid and whether additional vaccinations are needed.

Your puppy's health and continued veterinary care are important to us, and we believe establishing that relationship with your own veterinarian from the beginning is the best way to ensure your puppy receives appropriate care and follow-up as they grow.
